It it appears in abnormally vast volumes,
if the colors are just off,
if the material begins to behave differently,
if it becomes something it is not,
if it is filmed with motion controlled robots,
if it does not belong and yet it fits,
if it is not pretentious,
if it sounds like something else,
if it boils at room temperature,
if you are not sure to laugh or weep,
if it transports through a portal,
if it is impossible,
if it is silly,
if it is difficult to grasp,
if it requires patience and takes longer because it is worth it
if it is not forged easily or the product of a prompt,
if it is “bad art” but feels right
if it is campy and also perfectly refined,
if it has a high production value yet still feels real,
if it provides a texture you can taste,
if it is made practically yet seems illusive,
if it hold the eyeballs captive and takes no prisoners,
Then it is Otherworldly.
We are a cluster of humans wrestling with existence.
Falling down and getting back up.
Grappling with our flesh and bleeding from our hearts.
Dripping water from our eyes to dampen the earth.
Ruptured, with no idea of what we are actually doing here.
Ants clinging to the surface of this tiny sphere.
Hovering in the infinite.
Pummeling arrows into the darkness.
To pretend otherwise would betray reality.
