Evan Forrest Mann charges out of the gate with a unique approach to film. Trained as a visual artist with an MFA from RISD, his path into video production was through a narrow hatch in the floor, where he developed a tactile and distinct method of working. His use of surreal juxtapositions, miniature scale sets, practical effects and stop-motion animation achieves a unique aesthetic which leaves a trace of the human fingerprint. His writing and world building deliver a multi-layered comedic experience, paired with stunning compositions and visceral sound design. His projects oscillate between “grounded campiness” and “succulent transcendence.”

With a regional Emmy® and 4 Vimeo Staff Picks, his work has been 2x featured by Short of the Week, and has exhibited around the globe in both festivals and art museums, most notably: The Hammer Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, the Urban Institute of Contemporary Art, The Denver Art Museum, Art Basel, and the Slamdance Film Festival, where he took home the Grand Jury Award for Best Experimental Short.

Evan is the cofounder of Otherworldly Productions and has worked with Meow Wolf, Red Bull, Adidas, Clif Bar, RXBAR, Ralph Lauren, Samsung, Bridgestone, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Every Plate, Cabot Creamery, Kion, Aetna, Virgin, Benjamin Moore and Hoka.
