Client: Clif Bar
Project: Olympic Anthem Campaign
There is nothing like giving high fives to surge the good vibes. Clif Bar brought us on board for their #HighFiveUSA campaign, which aimed to send forth little nuggets of psych to our USA Winter Olympic Team.
We made a suite of vertically oriented videos to sit on multiple social media platforms and a website assets package composed of GIFs and video stills to boot.
A fun little fact: these videos were edited exclusively on Carrot Cake Clif Bars and a handful of caffeinated gel shots for the late nights.
Project: Startup Launch Videos
Entering into the fishing industry as a startup is no easy task. The Cadence team asked Otherworldly to completely handle their video campaign.
At first, they were a bit hesitant about our ideas, but they took the bait and the "Will Catchem" video has been immensely successful with very little marketing. Every time we touch base, the Cadence team is like "Oh! Have you seen how many views we are getting on Will Ketchum, and with no drop off rate..."
Because Cadence has chosen a direct to consumer business model, they relied heavily on their video content to get initialed in the fishing industry. They are selling fishing rods with great success! You can buy them on Amazon.
Client: Samsung & PDN Magazine
Location: Filmed in Colorado

My friend Kira encouraged me to apply to the Samsung 4K Challenge, and so I did and unexpectedly became a top ten finalist. Samsung overnighted me the NX500 camera and told me I had two weeks to create a 5 minute film with it. Bad news was that it was the busiest two weeks of the year, and writing, directing and producing a film would be impossible, so I decided to document a week or so of my life. Composed of people, places, experiences, and events, this film is a behind the scenes glance of time as seen from my perspective.
The result of this project is to me both personal and contrived. Every time I hit the record button, I questioned my intentions and authenticity of the moment. While editing, I was able to skew context, and time, rework sound and disembody sequences of actual event in my life. With the content being so personal, this made me somewhat uncomfortable, but this is the job of a filmmaker; we manipulate time, light, sound and sequence to make it what we want. I walk away from this project with a better understanding of my roles in life, as a husband, father, friend, pilgrim, adventurer, artist and filmmaker. Also, time is fleeting.
I want to thank my dear friends and family who have contributed to the enrichment of my life, what a gift it is to be surrounded by the beauty of good people. Thank you Kira for passing along this opportunity:)

Client: Bina Mehta
Project: Vibrant Indian Cooking Series promotional video
Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
"Bina thinks of food in a cosmic sense. It is part of the big picture. What to eat and when to eat it should not be determined by commercials or emotional urges, but by the seasons. Cayenne-inspired curries are for winter. Cooling cucumber soups and salads are for summer. She suggests people walk through the farmer’s markets and listen for foods that sing to them. “The foods you are drawn to are probably the ones your body needs,” Bina says."

So, lets be honest. We are not the typical wedding videographer. We only take on 5 weddings per year, max. This ensures we stay fresh:)
As filmmakers, we approach the wedding film as an opportunity to practice the art of visual storytelling. The wedding is, fundamentally, a reoccurring event of two people coming together, woven through the lattice of certain motifs: decorations are hung, family and friends gather and meals are shared.
Our joy is to document this unfolding human narrative and wrap it into a package of unexpected beauty.
We also want to keep it simple. Here are the rules of engagement:
+ Filming: $400/hr (for a one person crew, includes editing)
+ Filming: $500/hr (for a two person crew, includes editing)
+ Music license: $50
+ Driving Mileage: $1/mile round trip
+ Overnight accommodations: $300/night
+ Raw footage files on a hard drive: $200
+ Minimum budget: $1,000
+ We create a wedding film using the collected footage
Shall we dance?
