VIDEO PRODUCTION PROPOSAL

7 EDUCATIONALLY FOCUSED VIDEOS

Educating Coloradans on the oil and gas industry.

Utilize factual information/data to debunk common myths and misconceptions.

Our primary audience is Colorado voters under 40 years of age.

VIDEO # 1: MARKET PRICING

Proposed Timeline: Late Spring 2019

We use a spokesperson, utilize graphs, visual representations of numbers, and historical references—A data-centered, educational video. Compare oil/gas prices in various states in the U.S., as well as countries that, like the U.S., do not produce their own oil. Perhaps open the video with: “Colorado gas prices will be above ~$5 gallon in a few years if…”

VIDEO #2: LIFE WITHOUT OIL & GAS

Proposed Timeline: Summer 2019

Think the “Like a Girl” Campaign. This could be a video series. Here, we reveal the general public’s opinion on oil/gas, showing them how inundated our lives are with oil/gas products, how many products require it, and how much energy is consumed per person. The goal is reactions—Seeing people realize how dependent and married we are to oil/gas.

VIDEO #3: RATIO OF OIL & GAS vs. RENEWABLES

Proposed Timeline: Summer 2019

Another spokesperson utilizing graphs and visual representations of numbers. Here, we compare population growth, current energy usage, and projected energy consumption. We'll line up historical data of R+D for renewables and how small of a percent they contribute to the grid—Not forgetting that renewables need to be backed up by oil/gas.

VIDEO #4: GREEN COMPLETIONS

Proposed Timeline: Fall 2019

We use a spokesperson and incorporate illustrated graphics on how a green completion works with zero emission contamination. Colorado has the highest standards of all 50 states and sets the bar for oil/gas extraction on a global scale. We will compare emissions from both China and India, and ask why should we eliminate the one place (Colorado) where green completions are standardized and there are zero burn offs.

For Consideration: In keeping with the values of these videos, we'll be transparent about percentage of failure rate of green completion.

VIDEO #5: COST OF ENERGY SOURCES

Proposed Timeline: Fall 2019

This video will be a run through of all sources of energy and what they contribute to the grid, as well as what their offset costs are. All renewables are powered by and manufactured with oil/gas—Lithium mine for solar batteries is one example. Wind power is another that's transported with oil and gas, often time failing frequently, and needs back up by oil/gas.

VIDEO #6: ENERGY IN THE HOME / USE PER PERSON

Proposed Timeline: Winter 2019

Visualize the use of energy in the home: Heating, cooling, lighting, gas grill, etc.

This could be a poetic piece, having a more emotional connection to the lifestyle that oil/gas has been able to provide us—Think, lower income families that will fall off the grid when oil/gas prices increase.

VIDEO #7: OIL & GAS IN COLORADO

Proposed Timeline: Winter 2019

The goal here is to dispel the myth that we are running out of fossil fuels. We'll highlight the economic ramifications of banning oil/gas production in Colorado. We'll should graphs and other visuals of how much oil/gas the state of Colorado consumes and produces, and exports. We'' show how much revenue oil/gas contributes to our state (taxes, etc.). The industry is deeply embedded in our heritage and has contributed to the growth and prosperity Colorado has experienced to date—And Colorado leads the industry, globally, in sustainable extraction.

For Consideration: We depict the Ranch where former oil/gas sites have been reclaimed to their original state.

EDUCATIONAL FOCUSED

The care taken for the land, people, and wildlife of their drilling areas.

Our primary audience is Coloradans and the general public.

VIDEO #8: LARAMIE ENERGY: THE STORY OF HAWXHURST RANCH

No specific timeline.

Documentary style video focusing on the people and wildlife that rely on this land, and Laramie Energy's commitment to sustainable drilling and respect for the environment.
